Trade agreement between India and Australia to Boost Garment exports: AEPC

According to AEPC, the implementation of the free trade agreement between Australia and India will help increase garment exports. Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), Naren Goenka, stated that the industry's duty-free access to Australia under the trade agreement will put domestic exporters on par with international rivals and boost the competitiveness of local goods.

The implementation of the Australia-India free trade agreement will boost garment exports, according to AEPC. Following the Australian Parliament's Wednesday approval of the accord, implementation can now begin. The duty-free access to Australia provided by the trade agreement for the industry, according to Naren Goenka, chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), will put domestic exporters on par with global competitors and increase the competitiveness of local goods.
